ABSA Top 10 Pinotage award for Perdeberg’s Dry Land Collection Pinotage 2014

In 2013 the Dry Land Collection wines were launched. Since its inception, the wines in the collection exceeded all expectations and proved to stand their own in National and International competitions.

Perdeberg’s Super Premium Range, the Dry Land Collection, pays tribute to the courageous and robust vines that make it through the hot South African Summer without irrigation.  These unirrigated vines yield smaller grapes packed with colour and intense flavour.

Earlier this year, the Dry Land Collection Pinotage 2014 walked away with Gold (and Champion Wine Overall) at the 2016 Paarl Wine Challenge and also received a Gold medal at the China Wine & Spirits Awards.  Recently at the 2016 ABSA Top 10 Pinotage competition, the Dry Land Collection Pinotage 2014 was awarded a coveted Absa Top 10 Pinotage position. Just reward as it follows 3 years of making the Top 20!

“Achieving such an award is testimony to the harmony between ever improving viticulture and winemaking skill to enhance the vine’s natural dry land offer – it is something the team worked hard for and recognition for their efforts!” – Albertus Louw : Cellar Master

Notes: The ABSA Top 10 Pinotage Awards celebrated its 20th year of existence this year.  The Competition pays homage to the diversity and quality of Pinotage wines – A Truly South African Grape.
